Penn State Schuylkill men's soccer went toe-to-toe with Penn State Greater Allegheny in a hard-fought 3–2 setback on Sunday afternoon in Schuylkill Haven.
Penn State Greater Allegheny struck first in the 22nd minute, but Schuylkill quickly answered when Jacob Moser buried a feed from Zack Wilcox in the 28th minute to even the match 1–1. After the visitors regained the lead early in the second half, the Lions responded again as Wilcox netted the equalizer off a setup from Connor Troutman in the 62nd minute.
Greater Allegheny's Michael Damoah delivered the deciding goal in the 76th minute, his second score of the day. Despite a late push, Schuylkill couldn't find the tying strike.
Wilcox finished with a goal and an assist, while Moser added a goal on four shots. Goalkeeper Bryce Hensley recorded eight saves as the Lions were outshot 19–11.
Penn State Schuylkill will look to rebound in an nonconference matchup at Gywnedd Mercy on Wednesday.
