2019-20 Penn State Schuylkill Cross-Country Season

Penn State's Cross-Country Team and Coach Muldowney, 2018's Coach of The Year, have established themselves as a PSAUC power over the last few seasons.  Muldowney is confident in his cross-country team, as he should, considering they are not only the two-time defending PSUAC Women's Champions, but both teams have also finished in the top 10 at the USCAA Championship in 2018.

This year the team returns Willie Streisel, the men's top runner and many new faces on the Women's team. Muldowney is "very excited to have the chance to compete in the NAIA and if ranked high enough, go to regionals."

So far in the season, they have raced in events at Lebanon Valley, PSU Abington, and PSU Mont Alto. At their most recent meet, with Mont Alto, the women captured 1st place, led by two Freshmen Joahlana Najunas and Brinn Deangelo. The team still has 2 meets at PSU Brandywine and DeSales University then they return to PSU Mount Alto to compete in the PSUAC Invitational Championships.

Coach Muldowney says that he is very proud of his team so far this season and is excited to see them succeed. In reference to the PSUAC, he says "we are in a good position for the women to win and for the men to challenge defending champion PSU Fayette."
