Lady Lions sweep Notre Dame of MD, 23-5 and 15-3

Dundalk, MD

After over a week off, Penn State Schuylkill returned to action with a convincing doubleheader sweep over Notre Dame of Maryland.  

During game one,Makenna Rushannon and Joelle Moyer each had 4 hits, Erin Luckenbill knocked in 5 rbi's while Danielle Lilly drove in 4. After a rough first inning, senior pitcher Cara Brennan settled in allowing just one run over the final four innings of work to pick up the win.

During game two the Lady Lions stayed hot offensive scoring 7 runs in the first inning on the way to the 15-3 win. Schuylkill scored 15 runs on 16 hits. Erin Luckenbill and Marcella Scheeler each hit homeruns. Luckenbill's homerun was the 18th of her career breaking the school record of Jess Klotunowitch, who hit 17 from 2005-2008. Hannah Sell picked up her third win on the season.
