Schuylkill tops Beaver to advance to to PSUAC Championship.

After a rough start to their postseason, Penn State Schuylkill keep their season alive with a 12-7 win over Fayette in Dubois on Sunday and a 4-1 win over Beaver in the PSUAC Semifinal at Beard Field University Park, PA.

After a scoreless first inning, Schuylkill put some offense together starting with a double to left field be Marcella Scheeler, followed by a bunt single by Hayley Wolff. With two runners on and 1 out, Freshman Alyssa Gerber knocked in both Scheeler and and Wolff for the 2-0 lead. As the inning continued Joelle Moyer would reach on a swinging bunt and scored a 2 RBI triple by Makenna Rushannon. The four runs was enough as Schuylkill starter Cara Brennan went 5 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits before giving way to closer Hannah Sell who picked up the save in relief.
