Five Lions Earn PSUAC Volleyball All-Conference Honors, Three Freshmen Highlight Bright Future

All-Conference Selections

Penn State Schuylkill was well-represented in the 2025 PSUAC Volleyball All-Conference Awards with five Lions honored for their standout seasons.

Second Team – Amanda Burns

A consistent offensive threat all season, Amanda Burns earned Second Team All-Conference recognition after anchoring the Schuylkill attack from the outside. Burns' efficient hitting and ability to generate points in key moments helped fuel several of the Lions' conference wins. Her composure and steady play on the court made her one of Schuylkill's most reliable finishers.

Second Team – Lainey Dusel

Fellow sophomore Lainey Dusel joined Burns on the Second Team, earning her spot through a combination of power and precision at the net. Dusel was a versatile hitter who delivered in both front-row rotations and back-row transitions, contributing key kills and blocks throughout the season. Her growth this year solidified her as one of the team's most dynamic offensive players.

Honorable Mention – Lyla Kershner

Defensive specialist Lyla Kershner earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors after emerging as one of the top back-row defenders in the PSUAC. Kershner ranked among the team leaders in digs per set and serve-receive consistency, providing energy and stability in every match. Her effort and court awareness were essential to Schuylkill's defensive success.

Honorable Mention – Ryliegh Sinko

Setter Ryliegh Sinko was also named Honorable Mention All-Conference, recognized for her command of the offense and court leadership. Sinko averaged 6.08 assists per set and 3.21 digs per set, showcasing her dual-threat ability as both a playmaker and defender. Her precision and poise set the tone for Schuylkill's offensive rhythm each match.

John Fritz Sportsmanship Award – Sierra Wishnefsky

Senior Sierra Wishnefsky was recognized with the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award, honoring her leadership, positivity, and respect for the game.
