Samantha Koch joined Penn State Schuylkill in January of 2023. Koch received her bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation & Human Services from Penn State Hazleton back in 2018. While at Penn State Hazleton, Koch received the Scholar’s Lion Award, which is given to the student with the highest GPA at the college. Koch also received an Honor Cord for having the top percent in her PTA class. Koch is a PA State licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, receiving her associates degree from Penn State back in 2016.
Koch previously worked in the activities department in an assistant living facility and in customer service at Planet Fitness as well. Koch is a Tamaqua High School graduate and is a huge Penn State football fan. Koch is also a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her hobbies include weightlifting, running outside when it gets warm, and occasionally a 5k race. In addition to those hobbies, Koch enjoys hiking and has traveled to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia as well as Maryland to hike.
