Schuylkill splits with Greater Allegheny.

Myrtle Beach, SC

After dropping Game 1 of the doubleheader 8-4, Penn State Schuylkill found themselves trailing 6-3 to start the top of the 6th inning.  Schuylkill used a 5-run inning to get back in the game and take two-run lead. Doubles by Kyle Kaledas, Gaetano Visconti and Matt Roberts all contributed to the rally, but it was Viconti's 2-RBI double down the right field line that change momentum into Schuylkill's favor. Visconti stole third base and scored on a balk a batter later to tie the game at 6-6. Matt Roberts drove home Jaun Familia with his double, and pinch running Ryan King scored on a wild pitch giving Schuylkill an 8-6 advantage. Schuylkill defensive woes in the 6th allowed Greater Allegheny to tie the game at 8-8. Schuylkill would score in the 7th on a ground out from Kaledas and hold on for 9-8 win.
