UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Golf began their 2024 season at the PSUAC White Course Invitational at State College, PA.
Along with Schuylkill, Penn State Dubois, Penn State Fayette, Penn State Hazleton, Penn State Lehigh Valley, Penn State Mont Alto, Penn State Scranton, Penn State Shenango, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, and Penn State York were all present at the event.
Penn State Lehigh Valley won the event with a team score of 314, edging Penn State Mont Alto by a single point. Schuylkill finished 7th overall with a team score of 342. Rylen Mattock (New Philadelphia, PA / Pottsville Area) and Conner Licklider (Hamburg, PA / Hamburg) tied for a team-high of 84 points. Also finished in the 80's for Schuylkill were Adam Carroll (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Blue Mountain) 85, Jason Berkowitz (85), and Gavin Evitts (Auburn, PA / Schuylkill Haven) 89.
Schuylkill will return to action on Wednesday, September 11th as they are set to compete in the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational.
