Schuylkill falls at Williamson.

When Williamson and Penn State Schuylkill played men's soccer a month ago, they played in a torrential downpour.  In keeping with that tradition, the 2 teams battled heavy rain and each other throughout the rematch on Thursday night before Williamson was finally able to pull away with a 3-0 win.

The score of the game is more than a bit deceiving as both teams had numerous chances to score throughout the contest.  In fact, if not for two of PSU Schuylkill shots hitting the cross bar, they would of taken an early lead.

The teams were scoreless at half in a see-saw battle that saw PSU Schuylkill with 8 1st half shots while Williamson had 7.  Finally at the 31:21 mark Williamson got on the board on Dan Coleman goal with an assist from Zechariah Koechig.  Koechig was far from finished however when at the 25:56 mark he scored a goal of his own off a great feed from Shai Eis.  Cody Palmer was finally able to put the game out of reach when he scored at the 7:23 mark off a tremendous feed from Koechig.

Both goalies played tremendously or the score could have been much different.  PSU Schuylkill goalie Brad Fryer was phenomenal for the Lions as he turned aside Mechanic shots while Williamson goalie Aaron Marr earned his 1st shutout of the year.
