SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Men's Track & Field competed in the Susquehanna River Hawk Invite hosted by Susquehanna University this weekend.
Matthew O (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM High School) earned a first-place finish in the 5000-meter dash with a time of 17:28.19. Ashton Owens (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove Area High School) finished ninth in the men's 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 55.18 seconds. Owens also participated in the men's 800-meter run, finishing 25th overall.
Steven Cope (Frackville, PA / North Schuylkill High School) competed in the pole vault event, securing fourth place overall with a height of 3.75 meters. Also finishing fourth overall in his event was Aramis Rosario-Gonzalez (Columbia, MD / Glenelg County High School), who completed the 10000-meter run in 40:21.85. Rosario-Gonzalez also competed in the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line at 2:31.87, placing 30th overall in the event.
Lamine Diop (Cincinnati, OH / Finneytown High School) finished sixth overall in the men's high jump with a height of 1.79 meters. Diop also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing 26th overall with a time of 24.38 seconds.
Ethan Jennings participated in the 100- and 200-meter events. Jennings finished 42nd overall in the 100 meters with a time of 12.75 seconds and 37th overall in the 200-meter event with a time of 26.23 seconds.
Men's Track and Field will return to action on April 19th as they travel to Moravian College to compete in the 2024 Coach Pollard Invite.
