Steven Cope Wins USCAA Pole Vault Championship


AMHERST, Ma. - Steven Cope (Frackville, PA / North Schuylkill High School) claimed the USCAA Pole Vault Championship by clinching first place in the event at 3.95 meters.

Lamine Diop (Cincinnati, OH / Finneytown High School) secured third position in the men's high jump, achieving a height of 1.80 meters.

Pascal Deppisch (Danville, VT / Danville High School) and Matthew O (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM High School) both landed in the top five in the 10000 meters race. Deppisch secured the third position with a time of 36:26.42, while Matthew O closely followed, finishing fourth in 36:34.21. Aramis Rosario-Gonzalez (Columbia, MD / Glenelg County High School) finished right outside the top ten, coming in 11th with a time of 38:58.39.

Diop notched his second top ten finish, claiming seventh place overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.99. Following closely behind Diop was Ashton Owens (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove Area High School), who secured the eighth position with a time of 25.02. Owens also clinched a top ten finish in the men's 400 meters, crossing the finish line at 54.58 to secure seventh place.

Deppisch earned another top ten finish in the men's 5000 meters, finishing ninth overall with a time of 18:35.94. Aramis Rosario-Gonzalez finished 13th overall in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line in 2:32.67.
