Strong Showing at Misericordia Twilight Meet; Wilcox Captures First Place Finish
Penn State Schuylkill Track & Field delivered a night full of personal bests and standout performances under the Friday night lights at the Misericordia University Twilight Meet. Both the men's and women's teams earned 7th place overall finishes, with the men totaling 31 points and the women securing 15 points against tough competition.
The night was highlighted by Zack Wilcox, who blazed through the 800M in a 1st-place finish with a time of 1:59.79, continuing his strong season and anchoring the men's scoring efforts.
In the 400M hurdles, Jonah Zias took home a 4th-place finish (1:14.40), while Evelyn Louca followed close behind with a 5th-place time of 1:31.08.
Ashton Owens contributed in multiple events, most notably earning 2nd place in the 3000M steeplechase (11:35.23) and 7th in the 400M (53.92). Owens also competed in the 200M (24.76, 17th) and joined Tyrone Chambers, Lee Newton, and Zack Wilcox in the 4x400M relay, which finished 7th overall (3:37.36).
In field events, Tyrone Chambers jumped to a 2nd-place finish in the high jump (1.92M) and placed 9th in long jump (5.62M). On the women's side, Evelyne Larose earned 4th place in long jump (4.71M) and competed in the 200M and 100M events.

Malak Mowafi ran in three events, placing 9th in the women's 5000M, 5th in the 3000M steeplechase, and 15th in the 1500M

Jessica Cecil, Hanna Bulles, Jonah Zias, and Hadir Boswell also gained valuable experience across multiple distance races.
The throwing events saw solid performances from Kyle Kaminski and Megan Hauser, who scored 9.79M and 9.75M respectively in the shot put, while Hauser added a 14th place discus throw (27.54M) and 10th in javelin (24.91M).
With numerous personal records and top-10 finishes, the Nittany Lions continue to gain momentum as the postseason nears. They'll return to action next week at Juniata College, where they'll look to build on this meet's success.
