LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Cross Country ran in the Lock Haven University Invitational (8k) on Saturday.
Davis and Elkins had an outstanding performance, with six runners finishing in the top 20, including event champion Thewes, who crossed the finish line with a time of 24:10.5. Davis and Elkins secured a team score of 43 for the event.
Ashton Owens (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove) led the way for Schuylkill, completing the 8k race in 29:54.3, marking his personal best of the season. Matthew O (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM) followed as the second finisher for Schuylkill, crossing the line at 30:20.6. Both Aramis Rosario-Gonzalez (Columbia, MD / Notre Dame) and Ronald Kanyangarara (Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts) improved on their times from the Osprey Open. Overall, Schuylkill placed 26th in the event.
Schuylkill will run in the Highlander Invitational at Cairn University on Saturday, October 5.
