Schuylkill Softball Battles Hard but Drops Two on the Road at King's College

Lead-In:
Penn State Schuylkill softball showed grit in a pair of tightly contested road games, but ultimately came up short in a doubleheader sweep by King's College.

Game Recap (Game 1):
In a low-scoring opener, Schuylkill struck first with a fourth-inning RBI single from Alyssa Youst, scoring Emma Crisswell. King's responded with a run in the fifth and then took control with a three-run sixth inning, taking advantage of defensive miscues and timely hits to secure a 4–1 win. Kaely Walshaw went the distance in the circle, giving up just three earned runs and striking out three, but didn't get enough support as Schuylkill stranded eight runners.
