Women's Soccer Wins Big Against Penn State Hazleton

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer defeated PSUAC opponent Penn State Hazleton by a large margin on Sunday, 14-1.

The first period set the tone for Schuylkill's dominance, with seven different players finding the back of the net. Schuylkill dominated the shot matchup for the first period with a staggering 26 shots to Hazleton's zero.

Schuylkill did not let up during the second period as Brittney Bartasavage (Andreas, PA / Lehighton Area) scored 19 seconds into the period. Hazleton managed to break through the Schuylkill defense and score at the 52:46 mark. However, Schuylkill continued to add to the lead as they scored 4 of their 14 goals during the second period.

Bartasavage and Grace Fenstermacher (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM) finished with 3 goals each, while Zoe Gannon (Leesport, PA / Schuylkill Valley) and Nancy Le (Harrisburg, PA / Central Dauphin East) tallied two goals each in the victory.

Schuylkill (7-6 overall, 5-3 PSUAC) will match up with Washington Adventist on the road for their next matchup. Start time for the matchup will be 3:00 p.m.
