Women's Soccer Falls to Penn State Mont Alto

MONT ALTO, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer took on Penn State Mont Alto in their final regular season matchup. Mont Alto came up on top, winning 2-1.

The excitement unfolded in a brief but action-packed span of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Mont Alto would score the first goal of the contest at the 37:49 mark. Schuylkill quickly responded, with Grace Fenstermacher (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM) finding the back of the net at the 38:32 mark, leveling the score at 1-1. The teams continued to battle, and Mont Alto managed to regain the lead at 40:20. Mont Alto held on to their 2-1 lead for the remainder of the contest while winning the shot matchup by a slight advantage, 17-11.

Schuylkill (9-8 overall, 6-4 PSUAC) are currently seeded third in the PSUAC playoffs and will take on either Penn State Mont Alto or Penn State Brandywine in the semifinal round on Saturday, November 4th.
