Women's Soccer Comes Up Short Against Wilson College

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill lost to NCAA Division III opponent Wilson College, 5-0.

Annie Smith of Wilson College found Halley Shaffer for the first goal of the match at the 54 second mark. Smith would keep the torch going for Wilson as she scored consecutive goals at the 10:54 and 10:56 marks, giving Wilson a commanding 3-0 lead early in the contest. Wilson tallied 11 shots in the opening period.

Wilson remained aggressive in the second, tallying 19 shots in the period, 7 which were saved by Victoria Grimm (Jonestown, PA / Northern Lebanon Area). Wilson managed to score two additional goals during the second period.

Schuylkill (2-4-1 overall, 1-1 PSUAC) will return to action on Tuesday, October 1st as they host Penn State Hazleton.
