Women's Cross Country Races in Osprey Open 6K

GALLOWAY, Nj. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Cross Country traveled to Stockton College to compete in the Osprey Open Women's 6k Championship.

The winners of the event, NCAA Division I institution Seton Hall University, finished with a total time of 1:55:00.53, earning a team score of 24. Seton Hall had five athletes finish in the top ten, with the first-place runner crossing the finish line at 22:21.96.

Malak Mowafi (Iselin, NJ / JFK Memorial) was the first to finish for Schuylkill, completing the race in 30:44.14 and placing 151st overall. Close behind was Farangiz Kholmatova (Fergana UZB / Uzbekistan), who finished 153rd with a time of 31:04.62. As a team, Schuylkill placed 20th overall with a score of 624 and an average time of 37:57.26.

Schuylkill will travel to Lock Haven University in two weeks to compete in the Lock Haven University Cross Country Invitational.
