Women's Cross Country Claims PSUAC Invitational Crown

DUNMORE, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Cross Country clinched the PSUAC Invitational title for the second time in three years on Saturday. Seniors Malak Mowafi and Nadia King were honored during the event.

Malak Mowafi (Iselin, NJ / JFK Memorial) led Schuylkill, finishing at 29:24.4 to secure third place overall. Joining her in the top ten were Farangiz Kholmatova (Fergana, UZB / Uzbekistan), Abby Purcell (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley), and Bolu Akinrinade (Levittown, PA / Neshaminy), each achieving personal bests. Hanna Bulles (Reading, PA / Exeter) also set a personal record for Schuylkill. Penn State Shenango runners claimed the top two positions in the event.

Schuylkill's next competition will be at Lock Haven University on November 2nd, where they will participate in the Go Fast River Run.
