Can you describe how you evolved during your time here playing basketball?

Gerber: In high school, I wasn't the best basketball player, and my focus was soccer and softball. And in high school, I fell out of love with the game. So, my love for the game evolved along with the skill, and my teammates and coaches have helped with that a lot along with friends and family.

Describe the impact athletics had both academically and personally.

Gerber: I've been playing sports since I can remember so it is always something that I've been used to. I knew coming into college and playing three sports would be a challenge, but the amazing professors and faculty here at Penn State Schuylkill have been nothing but great. As for personally, playing sports has meant so much to me and my entire family for so long. I have met some of my best friends playing sports and being able to play in college is such a blessing.

What are your aspirations for athletics and in the future?

Gerber: Some aspirations that I have for the short time I have left in a Penn State Schuylkill uniform is to win a championship. All of my teammates in both sports have worked so hard over the past couple of years and our time is now. As for the future, my love of sports goes so far that I want to work for the MLB when I graduate. It has been a goal of mine for a long time now, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me.

What factors allowed you to make it this far in your athletic career?

Gerber: My entire support system from my parents to my best friends Sierra, Ashley, Lily, and Maddy. Every coach that I have ever had from youth sports to the college level. I really couldn't have done it without everyone along the way.
