Helping lead Penn State Schuylkill to six victories has earned senior forward Alyssa Gerber the first Continental Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week award for the 2021-22 season.
Gerber averaged nearly a double-double at 15.4 points and 9.1 rebounds. She opened the season with consecutive 20-plus scoring performances in the first two games and then had a season-high 27 points in a home victory against Penn State Wilkes-Barre on November 16. The forward also had 10 points and 16 rebounds in a victory against Penn State Beaver on November 20.
The forward's scoring average ranks seventh-best in the conference and has helped Penn State Schuylkill win its last five games.
The Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, native surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for her career earlier this season.
