How It Happened

In the first quarter, Penn State Schuylkill got off to a quick start after a few threes by Desiree Ellison and Allison Crockett to bring the score to 14-0 before Lehigh Valley made their first points of the game after a jump shot by Sage Christopher. These first few minutes set the tempo for the game. After the first quarter the score was 26-11.

The second quarter was no different with Schuylkill adding to their lead. Tajae Stevenson was the star of this quarter, scoring 11 points to give Schuylkill an astounding 50-21 lead going into halftime.

The third quarter saw Lehigh Valley try to stage a comeback but ended up scoring their lowest number of points in the game with seven. The third ended with a score of 61-28.

In the fourth quarter, Schuylkill closed the door on Lehigh Valley. Schuylkill's Alyssa Gerber added five of her own points to build the lead while Lehigh Valley's biggest showing was from Taylor Styles who contributed eight points to her team's comeback efforts. Penn State Schuylkill ended up defeating the previously undefeated Penn State Lehigh Valley, 71-48.
