Maddy Robinson Receives Second-Team All-Conference Honors

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference released their 2023 Volleyball All-Conference list Monday morning. Maddy Robinson (Auburn, PA / Blue Mountain) was honored for the second consecutive year in a row, receiving second-team honors.

Robinson competed in 68 sets over the course of the season. Robinson's 1.92 kills per set ranked 19th in the PSUAC. Robinson was very effective hitting the ball throughout the season, finishing with a hitting percentage of .172, good for 16th in the conference. Robinson also finished 7th in the conference in blocks per set with 0.68.

Robinson's season high of 14 kills came in a 3-0 victory against Word of Life back on September 14th. Robinson finished that matchup with a hitting percentage of .407. Robinson surpassed the .400 percent threshold on five different occasions during the season. Robinson tallied 16 aces in a victory against Penn State Scranton and 25 digs in a loss to Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

Also honored by the PSUAC was Sydney Morton (Norfolk, VA / Gateway Christian Academy) who received the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award. received the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award which is given to one player from each team in the league who best displays the core values of the league and sportsmanship to teammates and opponents throughout the season.

On the court, Morton finished with 126 kills on the year, good for 19th in the PSUAC.
