SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa.- Thirty-one fall sport student-athletes at Penn State Schuylkill received recognition by the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference for their excellence on and off the playing field.
To qualify for the academic team, student athletes must receive at least a 3.0 during their season of competition or have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 in their sophomore season or better.
Cross Country represented 13 of the 31 Schuylkill student-athletes that were recognized. Cross Country also had the highest GPA of 3.5 with Malak Mowafi (Iselin, NJ / JFK Memorial), Aramis Rosario-Gonzalez (Glenelg Country / Columbia, MD), and Ashton Owens (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove) achieving 4.0 GPA's during the fall.
Also achieving 4.0 GPA's were freshman Women's Soccer players Evelyn Crall (Chillicothe, OH / Chillicothe) and Jesenia Landaverde (Easton, PA / Easton Area).
