Baseball Shuts Out Bay College

MYRTLE BEACH, Sc. - Penn State Schuylkill Baseball dominated Bay College in their fourth day at the Ripken Experience, defeating Bay College 10-0 in 5 innings.

Owen Shoop (Tower City, PA / Williams Valley) threw a complete game shutout and won his first collegiate pitching matchup while only allowing 2 hits. Chase Herb (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley) finished with 2 hits and 4 RBI's in the victory. Herb's first home run of the season came during the 4th inning where he connected on a three-run homer. Owen Kosar (Shenandoah, PA / Shenandoah Valley), Chase Herb (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley), and Jake Leininger (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove) also recorded two hits in the victory. Evan Kosar (Shenandoah / Shenandoah Valley) tallied two RBI's for Schuylkill while Patrick Ryan (Pottsville, PA / Pottsville) connected on a triple.

Schuylkill (5-1 overall) takes on College of Dupage on Thursday, March 9th in what will be their final day at the Ripken Experience.
