I have been coaching for 15 years at two different schools. I started my coaching career at Blue Mountain High School for the girls' volleyball team as a volunteer coach for 3 seasons. Afterward, I became head coach of the Boys' Volleyball program at Pottsville Area High School for 2 seasons. Following my stint at Pottsville, I went back to the Blue Mountain Lady Eagles volleyball program, becoming head coach in 2011. I was the head coach at Blue Mountain for 10 seasons, helping lead the Lady Eagles to 6 division titles and 3 Schuylkill League championships, including back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2020. Before getting into coaching, I played my college ball for the men's club team at Susquehanna University, starting at libero for my junior and senior seasons.

The coaching style I bring to the men's volleyball program here at Penn State Schuylkill is one where student-athletes and the coaching staff continuously collaborate and work positively together towards common goals for the betterment of the program. I coach in a style where practices are meant to be tough and challenging, while the matches give our team a chance to carry over everything we've worked on in practice while playing with no pressure on individuals or the team.

Recruiting both on the Penn State Schuylkill campus and within the surrounding areas where high school men's volleyball is played in Pennsylvania is where I would like to start building the program, and then work on out-of-state student-athletes. I am looking for players who are willing to work hard, want to make themselves and the team better each day we're in the gym, and, ultimately, represent Penn State Schuylkill in a proud, respectable manner. Short-term goals for the men's volleyball program include building a base for recruiting by getting a good number of student-athletes to commit to playing at Penn State Schuylkill, all while being competitive against the opponents we play. Long-term goals are to compete for conference championships while continuing to build the program in a way that allows for expanded growth.
