Women's Basketball Dominates Fisher College

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA - Women's Basketball never trailed as they rolled past NAIA opponent Fisher College, 68-28.

Up 13-10 to begin the second quarter, Schuylkill went on to outscore Fisher 16-4 in the period. The Schuylkill defense held Fisher to just 14 percent shooting in the second quarter.

A made 3-point field goal by Allison Crockett (Liverpool, PA / Greenwood High School) with 5:37 remaining in the third period kick started a 13-2 stretch by Schuylkill to end the third, giving them a 47-21 advantage heading into the final period.

Schuylkill's lead was extended to 30 on a made jump shot by Kassidy Ingram (Abington, PA / Trinity High School) with 8:16 remaining in the regulation. Tajae Stevenson (Patterson, NJ / International High School) scored on three straight Schuylkill possessions late in the quarter to push the Schuylkill lead to 67-26 with 1:48 remaining. Schuylkill outscored Fisher 21 to 7 in the final period as they went on to defeat Fisher College.

Stevenson led Schuylkill with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Ingram added 14 points and 9 rebounds. Crocket contributed with 13 points off the bench.

Schuylkill (14-7. 10-2 PSUAC) will take on Fisher College on Sunday January 29th, in what will be the second of two meeting between the two teams. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
