Penn State Schuylkill softball took the field for the first time in three week for their home opener for the 2016 season. Through 5 innings St Joseph's pitcher Maggie Miller had complete control of the Lady Lions lineup. In the bottom of the 6th singles by Makenna Rushannon and Hayley Wolff broke up Miller's no-hitter and Erin Luckenbill's blast of Miller's 2-2 pitch over the left cente field fence took the lead as well. Schuylkill's pitcher Cara Brennan would turn away St. Joseph's order to secure victory.
