The start to the 2018 USCAA didn't go as planned, as RMU-Springfield scored seven run in the opening frame to take a commanding lead early. Schuylkill would answer back in the bottom half on a 2 rbi double from Danielle Lilly, to cut the lead to 7-2, but that would be as close as Schuylkill would get as RMU would continue to add on runs for the 12-3 victory.
