SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Jade Weiss (Pottsville, PA / Pottsville Area High School) and Emma Crisswell (Williamstown, PA / Williams Valley High School) were honored by the USCAA and the PSUAC, respectively, for their stellar play over the course of the week.

Weiss was named the USCAA Softball Player of the Week. In eight matchups, Weiss totaled 10 RBIs, 10 hits (2 doubles), 9 runs, and 5 stolen bases. Weiss completed the eight-game stretch with a batting average of .476

Crisswell received PSUAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the second consecutive week in a row. Crisswell had a dominant showing in the first half of Penn State Schuylkill's doubleheader against Bucks County Community College. Crisswell threw a perfect game, striking out all 15 batters faced. Crisswell followed that up with another commanding performance on the mound against Cairn, where she struck out 17 opponents while allowing only one hit.

Weiss and Crisswell will be back in action on Friday, March 22 as Penn State Schuylkill hosts Penn State Hazleton.
