Schuylkill tops Mont Alto, 3-2.

It took the full 90 minutes but the Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer team improved to 2-0 in the PSUAC. Mont Alto was able to get on the scoreboard first as Taylor Zeiders was able to score midway through the first half. Schuylkill dominated the play outshooting Mont Alto 16-2 the the half, but they could not find the back of the net.

Trailing 1-0 Schuylkill finally tied the score at one when Andrea Slotterback was able to dribble around the Mont Alto defense and strike the ball past goalie, Kennedy Guerin. With new found momentum Schuylkill took their first lead as Kyra Bulino found Rieley Reed on the left wing for the go ahead goal.

Mont Alto would tie the game again 2-2, when Schuylkill's failed clearence of a Mont Alto corner found their own net. The game would remain tied as Schuylkill would keep constant pressure only hindered by the occassional break out by Mont Alto. With the clock winding down one final push by Schuylkill broke through. Morgan Degrassi was able to cross the ball to a waiting Courtney Hill who chipped it off the finger tips of Guerin, dropping into the goal.

Schuylkill 2-0 in the PSUAC now prepare to take on PSU Greater Allegheny, Saturday at PSU New Kensington at 3:00 PM
