Women's Soccer Falls In PSUAC Semifinals To Penn State Brandywine

MEDIA, Pa. – #3 seeded Penn State Schuylkill Women's Soccer took on #2 seeded Penn State Brandywine in the semifinal round of the PSUAC Tournament.

The first period was evenly matched as neither team found the back of the net. Brandywine held a slight advantage on shots, 6-3. Victoria Grimm (Jonestown, PA / Northern Lebanon Area) came up with four saves during the first period.

Nia Bronson (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove) connected with Grace Fenstermacher (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM) 32 seconds into the second period to give Schuylkill a 1-0 advantage. Following two misses on goal, Brandywine scored their first goal of the contest at the 52:40 mark. Both teams battled throughout the period as Brandywine scored the decisive goal at the 75:57 mark.
