Women's Track & Field Participates in Susquehanna River Hawk Invite

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Women's Track & Field competed in the Susquehanna River Hawk Invite hosted by Susquehanna University this weekend.

Megan Hauser (Lehighton, PA / Lehighton Area High School) had another strong showing in the women's shot put and discus throw events. In the shot put, Hauser placed 7th overall with a distance of 9.77 meters. Additionally, she finished in the top ten for the discus throw, as her 30.72-meter throw earned her 6th place overall.

Malak Mowafi (Iselin, NJ / John F Kennedy High School) had a busy weekend, competing in three events. Mowafi secured second place overall in the 300-meter steeplechase with a time of 15:33.42, finished fifth overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:31.35, and placed 14th in the 100 meters with a time of 15.94 seconds. Farangiz Kholmatova finished 21st overall in the 1500-meter run with a time of 7:06.92.

Women's Track and Field will return to action on April 19th as they travel to Moravian College to compete in the 2024 Coach Pollard Invite.
